Clear or Optic Lens Moulding

Scottlamp is very experienced in clear moulding, especially for the lighting industry.

Processing materials such as polycarbonate and acrylic for lens and prisms, often with thick section and no optic distortion is allowed.

All clear materials are prepared in a sealed atmospheric dryer elimiating moisture contamination, often the cause of crazing and white bloom in clear mouldings.

Scottlamp use dedicated machines for clear work, meaning the risk of pigment contamination is reduced. Scottlamp also have 'all electric' machines which are very efficient in running long cycle components such as thick section plastic; this allows the plastic to cool/freeze reducing the risk of sinkage and distortion.
