Scottlamp is very experienced in clear moulding, especially for the lighting industry. Processing materials such as polycarbonate and acrylic for lenses and prisms, often with thick section and no optic distortion is allowed.

All clear materials are prepared in a sealed, atmospheric dryer eliminating moisture contaimination (often the cause of crazing and white bloom in clear moulding).

Scottlamp use dedicated machines for clear work meaning the risk of pigment contamination is reduced. Scottlamp also have 'all electric' machines, which are very efficient in running long cycle components such as thick section plastic, this allows the plastic to cool/freeze and reduces the risk of shrinkage and distortion.
